This residential project in Tingalpa, Queensland involved the design and documentation of a master bedroom and ensuite extension, together with the renovation of the existing kitchen, bathroom, and main entry. The objective was to improve the functionality, comfort, and overall presentation of the home while creating a seamless connection between the new and existing spaces.

The design focused on delivering a contemporary and practical living environment, incorporating modern finishes, improved spatial planning, and enhanced amenity to meet the clients' current and future lifestyle needs. The result is a cohesive renovation and extension that adds value, functionality, and long-term liveability to the property.

Tingalpa Extension

This residential project in Bellbird Park, Queensland involved the redevelopment and enhancement of an existing drawing package to provide a clear, comprehensive, and construction-ready set of plans. The client required updated documentation that was easier to interpret and contained a greater level of detail to support the building approval and construction process.

The project focused on improving the accuracy, readability, and overall quality of the documentation through the inclusion of detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, construction notes, and project-specific information. The resulting drawing set provided builders, certifiers, and contractors with a clearer understanding of the proposed works, helping to streamline project coordination and reduce uncertainty during construction.

Bundamba Renovation

This residential project in Bundamba, Queensland involved the preparation of updated construction drawings for a proposed build-under extension beneath an existing raised Queenslander. The client's objective was to maximise the use of the under croft space by creating a functional and versatile lower-level living area while maintaining the character of the existing home.

The design incorporated two new bedrooms, a bathroom, laundry, kitchenette, and a spacious open-plan living area to support the family's current and future needs. The updated documentation provided clear and detailed construction information to assist with planning, certification, and construction, ensuring the proposed works integrated seamlessly with the existing dwelling and delivered a practical extension to the home's living space.

The Residential Complex

The client brief required the design of a multi-level residential building that maximised access to natural daylight and cross-ventilation through considered building orientation and spatial planning.

The proposed structure was required to be a minimum of four storeys in height and incorporate shared communal spaces, including common cooking and dining areas, to support collective living arrangements.

To ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and accessibility requirements, the design provides vertical circulation to all levels via both stairways and lift access.

The development was required to accommodate a diverse range of household typologies, including FIFO workers, young families, and elderly residents, through adaptable layouts and varied dwelling configurations.

Vanity Street Warehouse

The proposed development comprises a warehouse facility with an integrated front-facing office component, supported by site landscaping designed in accordance with Toowoomba Regional Council planning scheme requirements.

The on-site car parking and circulation layout has been designed to accommodate heavy rigid vehicle (HRV) movements, including compliant swept paths to enable safe turning and manoeuvring within the car park and service areas.

The design incorporates compliant access and egress arrangements, along with fire safety provisions, in accordance with the applicable requirements of the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.

Vintage Lane Residential

The client requested the design of a residential dwelling on an existing allotment, with the brief emphasising low-maintenance construction materials, sustainable solutions for on-site power generation and water collection, and age-friendly usability.

In response to the site’s natural slope and road orientation, a tiered building form was adopted to maximise the northern aspect, morning solar access, and opportunities for passive ventilation and natural airflow.

Universal access principles were incorporated into the design, including the provision of a compliant access ramp at the primary entry and minimised level changes between floor plates, ensuring safe and practical circulation for elderly occupants.

The dwelling incorporates large, angled roof planes to optimise rainwater harvesting efficiency, directing runoff to on-site water storage tanks. This system is critical to the site, as the property does not have access to a reticulated town water supply.
